Oh well! Plan B: purchase 50# sack of corn. Dole out until September or October.
Purchase 1 gallon canola oil, 1 box of salt, 1 box of black pepper, 5 pounds flour, a small container of ground red pepper, and a 50 count box of 22 rifle shells.
Shoot and skin 50 pounds of squirrels, season to taste with the above ingredients. Dredge in flour and deep fat fry. Take the grocery savings and purchase more crocus. Plant and start over in spring.
