Did you talk to the artist much? How in the world did she do that? What kind of wood allows such large scale with such fine detail on such thin pieces! Was it carved from one large piece of wood, or is it pieced together? I've seen carvings with similar fine work & thin carving, but onlly very small ones. -- Linda Mann east Tennessee USA zone 7/8" Linda I got
permission to take pictures and to post it to the list. A man came up to ask her
about lessons as I was taking photos. I never found her free to talk again. She
had a very busy table. It was carved in pieces and it is all wood. I do not know
if she still grows iris. I took us several hours to see
everything.
At one time I lived
in Germantown and Have a neice that lives there now. I might be able to contact
her.
