Yes............I've found that to be true too.  Many even if they are planted into virgin soil many of his irises doesn't reach the height it should. But you are right - - the colors and patterns in his irises are "WOW"!

That is soooo..... beautiful!  I find that many of the Blyth irises are smaller than we are used to, but the colors!  Wow!  And this one is no exception.                     Betty

This is SPICE LORD. (a Blyth 2002/03 introduction.) It doesn't get as tall as it does for B. Blyth, but - - it sure can put on a nice show!
