We have had it turn around and snow
on our crocii recently so how safe the plants are at present is anyone's
Here we had some new growth on
plants like clematis, hydrangeas, etc., and then a sudden cold snap that has
killed the shoots so we are definitely looking forward to seeing what has
survived here. We *have* been assuming that spring is close based

gather one of the nests has an egg as of two days ago, so presume we can't
turn back to winter now.
Believe it or not, after 3 months of non-stop
freeze, the irises are still alive and almost kicking :
