Hi Mike,

So, would your new USDA zone be 6 or 7?  In my opinion, it's not too cold of a move if you're coming from a zone 9.  Should be great for rebloomers.  How much rainfall do they get in midsummer, do you know?

Really like those striking seedlings!  Your iris with fall bands are continuing to become more and more elaborate.  Lovely, for sure!

To be honest, it has become extremely difficult to run a business in the state of California.  We had a choice of either continuing on as a business in a more business friendly state or to just be a hobby.  The demand for iris is huge but the cost of operating here has become so high the ability to be a large supplier was greatly inhibited to the point of craziness.  High taxes, heavy, heavy regulation, operating costs, labot costs and current & upcoming water issues all combined to make it unprofitable and very stressful to be here.  Operating costs in Idaho will be approxmately 17% less.  Plus the air is much fresher and cleaner there :-)
