[PHOTO] SPEC: crested iris?

This was a gorgeous big clump several feet in diameter along a weedy,
fairly shady, shortcut sidewalk from a church parking lot to the highway
in downtown Kingston about a week ago.  By the time I remembered to take
my camera and take a picture, this was the only bloom left open.

I assume it is some kind of crested iris?
