It has been a variable grower, sometimes pretty good, others not.  
Sort of matches my erratic climate.  My climate is harsh and 
unpredictable, usually very hot and dry, often windy in the summer 
months.  Despite all the late freezes this year, it put up multiple 
stalks and bloomed, though they were on the short side.
