I've attached two photos of seperate TB Iris buds EATEN BY SPARROWS!! 
  One is Argus Pheasant, and the other Barry's Choice.  Does this 
happen to anyone else and what can I do to stop it????

It's heartbreaking to watch the buds mature and then they are chewed 
beyond recognition!
