Re: Blue Louisiana Iris

Thanks to all who helped me ID this LA.

The answer is.........Delta Star.

I got the LAs from Marie Caillet in 2001.  At the time, she gave me a list of the possibilities for identification and I was able to come up with a picture of Delta Star that is a perfect match.  Additional information that I came up with is that it must remain wet or grown in water.  I did not do that, so it might account for why it took so long to get a bloom.

Dear TomG,
How does your LA grow? Does it grow very unstraight in a meandering way? If so, it is probably Dorothea K. Williamson. Mine is darker in color, but photos are not always accurate. It is very proliferous, and I am surprised that it took 3 years to bloom.
Annette Milch from Lexington, Kentucky. My LA's are up but my TB's need to bloom first. So far only one TB, AUTUMN TRYST, is blooming. My SDB's are blooming though. And my IB's are budding.
