I don't know what species it is, or any information about it, but
wanted to add that the white version - or something very similar to
the best of my recollection - also grows in St Augustine FL and Cape
Coral FL... two very different sections of the state, with different
climates. The ones I saw in St Augustine were in the courtyard of the
Lightner Museum, so I'm sure they were planted there on purpose. In
Cape Coral, my mother had an outdoor planter box with these growing
randomly in it (completely neglected but pretty and delicate flowers).
