If your camera has a series of settings for colour adjustment for fluorescent light, you may find one of those helps. I find one of my three fluorescent settings, gives me exactly the right colour for purple.

blue and purple are really hard to get on photos

The purple always looks too blue

I don't know if anything can be done with the buttons to avoid that !

Sorry to disappoint you but it is a trick of the camera. If you look close beard is bluer than falls, but from a distance you could never tell. For the color of beards and all just look at it's grandmother 'Dusky Challenger' and think one shade lighter. This color is hard to capture.
