Re: Various load pixs

No Pics but we use two methods.

Firstly we use soft drink trays were bottles can fit in smugly. We then put a bottle in every alternative space and place the bloom stems in these, sometimes we have to wedge the bloom upright with paper/stem etc.

Alternatively we use large plastic vases which have removable bases. We then put quite a lot of blooms in these and separate them with scrunched up newspaper. We then sit the vase in a hollow concrete block for transport.

Don't do what one local person did once. They put the blooms in wide necked bottles and then to keep the blooms in place they filled the bottles with damp sand. During transport the sand settled and compacted. On arrival, it apparently had the consistency of concrete.

Subject: [iris-photos] Various load pixs

Thanks to all that have sent in ideas. Every little bit helps.

I just remembered I have some pixs of various loads.  At least for fair, it's just down the road a bit.

Does anyone else have pixs of how they pack.??

The retreat load was the hardest to pack, b/c long trip, and had to protect from sun.  At least it wasn't for a contest
