Thanks Christian, Pearl and Kent,

I think you are correct. This is the beard on all my other Thornbirds, so I guess it can have that spoon also.

I just thought maybe the iris I sent earlier was something different.

It's a lot shorter, the overall bloom much smaller. It is totally grown in a different place, maybe that made the difference. Strange.
