Since they are both blooming: one in front yard and several in backyard.
Decided to bring in and really look at this.
I see Pearl what you are saying about on the same bloom, the beard may have a spoon or it may just be a long extended beard.
I really like the smaller one. Much more color. My soil is totally different in front and it gets much less water. I'm thinking that is what is making such a color difference.
