In my hybridizing goal to produce vigorous pink irises that are also pretty, I have found a few that meet my original expectations. Here is one of those I call my “Cotton Candy Pinks”. I will soon be digging up some that are more beautiful than this one but which have never achieved the required bud count. This one has good stalks, seven to nine buds, and though a late bloomer, holds its color and form well in the heat. Unfortunately, it seems sterile. That is a common problem with late bloomers here.
