Subject: [iris-photos] PHOTO: I've waited 30 years for this coloring in an RH seedling

Hello again.....

The other field I've been trying to "put a dent in" is to get away from the magenta coloring of I. stolonifera and work for redder tones.  This is an advanced generation I. stolonifera hybrid that has quite reddish tones showing through the brown.  It has taken 30 years, and now I feel that just MAYBE this will give me an inroad to redder hybrids in my aril lines.  And I'll follow up below with a second photo that shows the red seedling with I. stolonifera itself (fuzzy pic of I. stolonifera in the right background) just to show how far I had to go to get red tones.
