Hello again.....
The other field I've been trying to "put a dent in"
is to get away from the magenta coloring of I. stolonifera and work for redder
tones. This is an advanced generation I. stolonifera hybrid that has quite
reddish tones showing through the brown. It has taken 30 years, and now I
feel that just MAYBE this will give me an inroad to redder hybrids in my aril
lines. And I'll follow up below with a second photo that shows the red
seedling with I. stolonifera itself (fuzzy pic of I. stolonifera in the right
background) just to show how far I had to go to get red tones.
