I not noticed crystalline edges.  I've carried a lot of the blooms around (while polinating) and doubt I would have overlooked them, so I'd say not.  At least, not in my soil.  I've been more interested in going for the ornage/red beards I know are in it's background.  Those edges can be tricky.

Betty, does Platinum have crystalline edges like Genteel?  I'll have to check them out a bit more.

Come What May X HOM.  Well-branched, laced orange with
dependable RE, but miserable form and substance. Truly awful.
 
I think you'd like what Genteel does.  FC here, early enough to
get the job done.  Unlike Eternal Bliss, G has never rotted here.
