Re: Software/Mulch

Thank you Janice for the software mention.

As for mulching......... here in Arizona I don't believe many of us has a need to mulch.  As for weeds - - I found it's just better to hand pick them. (As time consuming as it is).  I've heard stories of how chemicals on or near the iris root system can change the color and form on one's spring Blooms.  And if not used for a year, the flowers will go back to it's normal color and form.

1.) I figure it's not worth my own personal health risk, and
2.) it's not worth the possible deformation in those iris.

But, maybe someone else has the answer. I wish you luck.

Subject: [iris-photos] Software

The software that I used for the Iris picture show is called Impatica
(http://www.impatica.com). I agree about the distortion of the iris images
being awful, but to make everything look nice and tidy I just "squeezed" the
image to fit into the frame. As time goes by I will crop my photos down to
the size I need and then put them in the frames, then I won't get the
distortion.

For bigger viewing on your PC you can change your display (for PC's go to
Control Panel, Display) size to 640X480 and the images get somewhat bigger.
I was trying to get the most images I could on one page without having to
scroll horizontally or vertically, thus the size you see now.
