[PHOTO] Re: TB: Dime Spot update

Bill  --  For what it's worth, two about-to-open rebloomers withstood a 25-above night here on November 10, with each of their buds covered by old athletic socks, and have since bloomed.  The blooms were crinkled on the edges, since they had undergone a milder freeze the night before, when I wasn't home.  So, if you don't want to put the washtub on the kitchen table, you might try the sock-em approach.  --  Griff

Subject: [iris-photos] TB: Dime Spot update

I may well be whippin' a frozen horse here. Freeze comes Monday night at 25 degrees. Otherwise, I think I have a great chance of seeing five at a time blooms open on this type of branching. Maybe even six!

This, Dime Spot today, photo was taken at a downward, obtuse angle so the photo distorts stalk, spacing, and proportions of the plant. You can still see the promise these buds hold for those of us not yet wantin' to give up!

Tent or cut? Input please.

Course I could just dig Dime Spot and set a # 2 washtub on the kitchen table!

Smiles,
