What a lovely color combination! I like it, and I agree about how can any iris lover not try pollen daubing. Even the imperfect ones can be thrilling. The best excuse my friends give is that they couldn’t bear to destroy those less than perfect ones. Francelle Edwards -----Original Message-----
Amain X Sweet Reflection. Opened yesterday morning. I've been depressed for several days, watching the bud get uglier as it showed more color. Needs width. Needs more ruffles. Needs substance. Only one branch. Only 5 buds. Blooming too late. Needs more color saturation in falls. But, hey, I don't hate it, and I thought I would. What a kick!
How can anyone who loves iris not make some crosses?
