I found this maiden bloom stalk in the iris bed yesterday afternoon, just beginning to open.  Yesterday was the first day over 50* in a while, I think.

It's fragrant; I think the dog may have known it was there for a week.  She kept ducking into the badly overgrown iris bed at just that spot.
