Rebloomer from bee pod seeds that Barb Johnson gave me several years
ago, collected by Mueller from his garden.
Faults - narrow falls (a lot more than a thumb width spacing at the
hafts), messy hafts, not the healthiest, not cooperatively fertile.
Good qualities - reliable rebloom, moderately healthy, high bud count &
low branching (not sure that's actually a plus - sure makes it hard to
put in a vase). Nothing else even vaguely like it reblooms here, other
than maybe BELVI QUEEN, which has the same pigments, but doesn't look
anything like this.
Not sure this gives a good idea of the color - it's one of those pinky
mauve purplish browny things that result from layering of blue and
yellow. I have a photo of the pigment extraction if anybody wants to
see.
So, anybody in "the vale" think this is good?
