Re: Hyb: mixing colours

Betty

I find the colour on Renown to be a bit murky, wherea as Matrix is a definite cream.
Renown doesn't rebloom nearly as much as Matrix and it never produces a proper stem.

Colleen, I'd be curious to know in what way Renown disappoints you?  I'm having trouble with it, but I think a lot of my problem is that I've thought it looked a certain way all these years and now I'm having to adjust.  Also, the fall stalks are all twisted.  But then a lot are.

I'd also like for it to bloom in the spring.  I've acquired 5 more rhizomes this summer, in addition to the clump that is currently blooming.  I expect to see bloom this coming spring.

You've not used Renown and you find Matrix to be lacking as a parent.  Have you tried Innerst's newer rebloomers--Lunar Whitewash, Again and Again, or Over and Over?

Pretty seedlings!
