I received by e-mail a comment suggesting that this iris (which is not STIR CRAZY) looks like CROWN OF THORNS, .........a 2006 Introduction by V. Christopherson. It does seem to look similar.

I went to Vincent Christophersons web site: www.toolsbydesign.com/vciris and the photo he has listed there as Stir Crazy, 2002 is completely different then the one posted recently. If the photo was taken in Portland maybe it was a more recent introduction but more likely one of his seedlings that got the wrong name attached. I was intrigued by it's contrast thats why I looked it up. The attachment comes from his web site.
