That would be quite cold enough to stratify the seeds. But they will need soaking and washing to remove germination inhibitors and rehydrate. If you want the seeds, then you've nothing to loose.

Hi Colleen,
Thank you for the suggestion you made regarding soaking the seed for a few days. Our winters do not usually get very cold.  Lowest temps generally range in the middle to upper 20's above zero F.   I am going to give it a try.  Even if they do not germinate, it will be a worthwhile experiment.  I will never know if I don't give it a go!
