Adrienne,
Joe advise is good. However, all may not germinate the first fall and
if you keep your pots in shallow water you may get some more of the seeds to
germinate in the spring and some the next fall and spring. If your
seeds have dried out they are probably still good; however, they are harder and
slower to germinate. Soak them in a jar of water with a tight
lid with no air space for several weeks before planting and then handle as
recommended below. Just remember, the dried seeds will be slower to
germinate, so you may want to keep the pots for several years before
discarding.
