Thanks. Observations such as this is very helpful.
I suspect that Kupari is a dominat amoena but anthocyanin is supressed by glaciata genetics but when influence of plicata genes are removed by a cross to a non plicata iris, the effects show. Obviously the dominant amoena also removes anthocyanin from the beards in this case. When I think of it, this is often the case with amoenas. I need to check this further.
