Good morning all, the weather has calmed enough to allow more and
better flowers to open. There are many I. magnifica open today,
mostly very pale to white. Aucheri is at peak. Humilis flowered
yesterday and it looks like more will open this afternoon, they are a
very cheery yellow but last just a few hours. I have a lactea
blooming far ahead the of the others. This one has foliage ten inches
tall while all other lactea are only two inches tall and show no buds
yet. It also has larger flowers of a rich color, might be worth
introducing and spreading around. It needs to be moved anyway as it
is too large for it's location, it was supposed to be an onco, I.
barnumae.
Also have the first flower this year on I. henryi. Attached is a
small jpg.
