I've been trying for years to get a a pseudoregelia to survive
and bloom (and be the real thing). I finally succeeded today with
Iris hookeriana. I'm attaching a picture.
Now the question: is this really I. hookeriana or is it I. kemaonensis?
The wide leaves (1.5 cm) and the completely green spathes suggest
I. hookeriana. However, the combination of stem and perianth tube
is very short. I have not yet opened the spathes and sheathing leaves
to measure each one. Of course, the stem might be stunted this
year.
