Well, I'm not entirely consistant, and often fail to
take notes, but I'll do my best. The main plant of
I. paradoxa is in a terracotta pot 18 inches in
diameter and  18 inches deep. The potting medium
is heavy on sand. It has some small-sized red crushed
lava rock, potting soil (probably some home-grown
compost too), and a modest helping of local clay soil. The clay
retains some moisture but there is not enough interfere with
fast drainage. I have been top dressing with a little orgainic
material including a tiny amount of  steer manure blend
kept away from the plant itself.
