that it it is Iris lutescens, but without seeing the
whole flower stalk it is impossible to rule out Iris
pumila. Pumila has no flower stalk whlie lutescens has
a small stalk with usually one branch or spur. Verna
has practically no beard, only a few hairs that are
sometimes referred to as a beard. The leaves of verna
are glossy at least on one side. Definitely not verna.
