Re: greenhouse iris

Hi Dan,

Have had luck with LA iris inside during the winter. Seedlings should bloom next year. I save my pollen and use it the following year as I just do not have room to grow ensata inside for the winter. Saved pollen seemsto work for me.

I wonder if anyone has dug an iris and grown it in a greenhouse in efforts
to have earlier flowers so that it's pollen could be used a week or two
earlier to cross with earlier blooming species?

I was thinking of trying to get I. Ensata to bloom earlier to bring it into
time with more Versicolors for example.
