RE: Iris brevicaulis imposter


 

When I review the photos on the link you provided, it appears to me that the leaves may have a mid-ridge, but I could be mistaken. And, if that is true, it definitely is not brevicaulis. My educated guess is that it is virginica. ÂSure looks like lots of virginica s that I have seen.

I may have asked this question before, but I find myself staring at these pictures again and wondering what it is...

It's being sold as Iris brevicaulis, but I wonder if it's I. missouriensis or I. virginica or something else?  It's surely not I. brevicaulis.
