I'd expect Iris xanthospuria to have deep orange-yellow blooms with much broader flower parts; in my limited experience, the blade of the fall is rather vertical and curls under a bit. Iris spuria subsp. halophila can have pale yellow flowers. Is there any chance that is what you have?

It's an early season here. There are several things in the species beds are blooming, including this that I have labeled 13SP221. The poblem is that it should be I. notha but it appears to be xanthospuria. 3 different seedlings are blooming and all are yellow (2) or white (1). Anyone else have seedlings from this seed lot?
