Iris Persica

I thought I would pass this message along from Anner Whitehead that she
sent to the iris list. I thought someone here might have some
information or interest.

Greetings.

For a proposed article for Magnolia, the journal of the Southern Garden
History Society, I solicit communication from anyone on this list who
grows now, or
has grown in past, *Iris persica Linnaeus.*

I would also welcome referrals to any individuals known to have
first-hand
horticultural knowledge of this Iris species, and information about
commercial
availability, if any, of nursery grown stock in North America or Western
Europe.

Please respond to <ChatOWhitehall@aol.com>.

Anyone bringing me useful information will, at their request, be
rewarded
with my personal receipt for pimento cheese, which may be the best in
the world.

Thank you very much.
