Re: HYB: question - aphylla, black, hafts


Thanks Chuck - I remembered hearing about the Schreiner article, which
is what got me wondering.

Thanks for the photo, Juri.  The dark colored veining at the hafts
certainly does show in that light colored I. aphylla, but the
anthocyanin pigment also appears to be present on the haft as a ground
color, unless the angle of the photo makes it look more fully pigmented
than it really is.  Do you know if any white is present on the haft?

Are there yellow I. aphylla clones or species hybrids known or thought
to be mostly aphylla that are yellow?  Assuming black is a mix of
anthocyanin and yellow....

Or does that maybe come into black modern TBs from another source?
