Curtis's 7661: I. delavayi.


 

I can provide the plate of I delavayi from Curtis's if that will be of some use in this discussion. This is t. 7661, from 1899.
 
Dykes, who gives an exhaustive description of the salients in The Genus Iris, notes that the species was introduced into cultivation by the Jardin des Plantes, Paris, from whence Kew obtained the seeds from which was grown the specimen from which the illustration was made.
