Re: more NOIDs - Iris delavayi


 

The flower's shape fully fits Iris sanguinea, the only sign it is a garden hybrid with Iris sibirica is its papery bracts that usually should be herbaceous in Iris sanguinea.
Unlike Jim Waddick I see no sign of Iris delavayi, compare with this photo http://www.plantarium.ru/page/image/id/40477.html

As long as the thread is on mystery plants, here's SIGNA 05J033
blooming for me last year. I'm certain it's not what it was identified
as for the seed exchange, but wanted to get the group's unbiased
opinion (so no peeking at what it's supposed to be first). It's fairly
tall, maybe a meter or so, flowering mid-June. So, what is it? Or at
least, what series?
