Re: I'm Published

Jim: I wish I could take some credit for getting your picture into Basic Iris Culture. But when it came to printing, many of the image files were replaced for higher density images. There was a scramble to get images in place. Many of the images I saw for the first time when I got a new copy. It is a glorious picture and you can be very proud of it. I will take a bit of credit for the idea of transforming to old blue book to a colored presentation, but many people were involved in the final creation. When we reprint it we will have to get the credit included.

Subject: [iris-species] I'm Published

Hey gang. I bought a copy of the new AIS 'Basic Iris Culture' 3rd Edition 2011. I thought it would make for light reading as I know most of this wether I practice it or not. I was reading 'Species Iris Culture' by Bob Pries on page 33. I thought the photo looked familiar and checked my files. It is a photo that I had submitted to the AIS Photo Contest in 2010 . What a surprise to see it in the Iris Culture booklet. And, no, it did not win, not even an Honorable Mention. There are no photo credits so I would never have known if I hadn't recognized the pic.
