Hi Dennis, I was looking at the weather on TV tonight and I noticed you and I are about the same latitude. Cincinnati was 38, Northern Virginia was 34. You grow iris I can not grow. ie cretnsis. Your retics will be days head of mine. In fact, mine are just breaking ground. I did notice 2 crocus species blooming.

What microclimate areas do you have on your property? Any words of wisdom?

I was out today looking around. The iris were raised up and the ground still frozen.
