Hi BJ,

I've been collecting and working with I. missouriensis for a number of
years. Soak for at least 2 weeks, changing water frequently, then chill
thoroughly for at least 1 month before planting. Even easier, just plant the
seeds outside in the fall and let Mom Nature do the work for you.

Viable I. missouriensis seed usually germinates during the season following
planting but can take 2 seasons. I start the seed indoors and speed the
slackers up by moving any seedlings to individual pots then tossing the
flats of ungerminated seed back into the cold to chill a bit more.
