I grew the I. dichotoma before they were crossed with the blackberry lily.I don't recall it not being hardy. Might it be one of those short lived perennials? I lost it after a few years but I don't recall how many. I also have one stray blackberry lily--I'm sure I didn't plant it there--in the shade. It has come up for several years, has few flowers and very few seeds.            Joan Cooper

I have grown all three and all of them passed on in a few years. Candy
lilies hung around the longest possibly because I had more to kill,
where as the other two I was limited to one plant. It seemed the
dichotoma was not winter hardy.
