This really surprises me! The I. sintenisii I grow is 
evergreen. If it loses it's leaves it's dead. What do you 
mean by 'dormant'. Maybe this is due to its being ssp 
or separate sp collinia. It did take me years to get a 
sintenisii that matched the sp description. It is happily 
growing in shade with only morning sun.
