Hello everyone,
I am a newbie to growing species iris and I am glad
to be able to join your group and learn more about the wonderful world of
irises. The only species iris I have grown in my garden so far is an iris
graminea (at least I think it is an iris graminea) which my mother collected in
the wild here in South West Germany about 40 years ago. I visited the place
where she thought she had collected the iris graminea but there are
no iris there any more.
Just received the seeds from the SIGNA seed
exchange and want to thank all the people who are involved in the seed exchange.
Your seeds are much appreciated.
In the last three years I have hybridized some
bearded irises (mostly SDBs and some TBs) and in the future I would
also like to hybridize some beardless irises.
Greetings from snowy Germany (zone 6)
Anja
