Thanks for the welcome!
I think my very favorite is not a species,
it's TB Clarence, because each time it opens (and re-opens),
my lower jaw just falls, and saliva starts dripping on my chin, an awful sigh,
(but it happens only very early in the morning, so no one is around...), it's
the only iris that has this effect on me....so far!
as for species, i'm always very impressed by my
Spuria Ochroleuca every year.
I also have Clown Pants, a reblooming
diploid IB that Thomas Silver sent me 2 years ago, It's (variegata Beardsley X Iris suaveolens var mellita) and i hope a lot
from it!
I also have Dolce from Paul Black, and some Aphylla
derivatives from the Craigs that i intend to use a lot to improve branching and
bud count on my IB.
But all this must seem to you very far from real
Species!!!
i hope i will improve my knowledge, with you
help!
About my name, it's nor really French, it's from
Bretagne, a province where they used to speak Gaelic, like in Ireland or
scotland, ant they still use weird names there.
Some are starting to spread... like
loïc.
It should be pronounced "Low - eek", thanks to the
ï .
Without the ï, it would be "Lwak" ,
unbearable!
Voilà, you know it all!
looking forward to hearing from you
all!
loïc
