SIGNA seed exchange goes digital?

Dear Friends,
We are currently looking at an archive of old Seed Lists
dating back to at least 1990.
Anita Moran has volunteered to scan and convert old lists to
pdf format. Dennis will archive these on the web site.
Each year we get requests such as "what is 05R343 or what
color is 99M257? We try to dig out the info, but I think there's
many questions that never get asked.
You may have noticed that all seed list serial numbers now
have a 2 letter code that sort of explains what kind of iris the seed
is such as SB for SiBerian, SP for SPuria, MB for Median Bearded, etc.

Jim and I are busy with this year's activity, but Anita,
Dennis, Jan and Marty are combining efforts to gather copies of all
the older lists and get the scans on the web site in a new archive
page. I am sure Dennis will keep you posted of progress.

Another way to make the SIGNA site more useful.
