I would be very interested in having the bulletins "mined" for
information on certain topics which would then be consolidated.

Currently, I'd like all the snippets of information on seed raising.
Maybe next year I'd be interested in all the places to look for wild
iris in Xxxx. Other people would have other interests.

The book that got me growing iris was one that was put together from
robins about iris breeding. I've been interested in plant breeding
since I read a Burbank biography when I was about 8. I wasn't
particularly interested in iris until I read Wilma Vallette's Iris
Culture and Hybridizing in the early 1960s. It was inspiring to see
how a group of enthusiastic amateurs could amass so much information,
and it would have been dissipated if it had remained scattered in all
those letters.

(For those not familiar with robins: they were a postal early version
of our current online discussions. A group of people would mail a big
envelope to each other with a letter in it from each member. When you
received the envelope, you'd remove your letter and replace it with a
new one.)
