RE: Late additions to the seed exchange

In Idaho the pseudacorus made the list last year under containment.  I was allowed to keep the plants I already had on display but cannot sell the plants to anyone or any seeds.
The only reason I was allowed to keep plants in the garden was because I was no way near any water situations (Lake, streams, ponds etc)  or irrigation ditch areas.  So Containment seems to mean
that the plant must be contained on your property, cannot be near irrigation ditches or natural water ways.  Since it was new to the list last year there may be
some changes here.  I will have to see what my inspector says this spring when he checks the garden.
The reasons for this change was listed as "likely able to move along streams more than 100 yards per year," and " seeds have increased germination after fire"
The ones that must be removed/or totally contained in the state of Idaho are so far only the yellow ones with the listing I. pseudacorus and Yellow Flag Iris.
I will let you know if the list status changes this year. The local garden nurseries also were inspected for this plant last year and they could not be sold.
Also still in question is if they have to be removed there seemed to be some indecision on how they wanted them disposed of.

The wild Pseudacorus plants are on the invasive list in many states...However the named cultivars and the Pseu crosses like Roy Davidson, Etc. are not included in any ban.

I noticed that along with listings for pseudacorus in the seed exchange is a late listing for x pseudata ex 'Chance Beauty'.

I was under the impression that pseudacorus or pseud crosses weren't going to be welcomed any longer so have been either giving away seeds from 'Chance Beauty', 'Shape Shifter', and the named white pseudacorus I have. Am I mistaken?
