I am not sure where the idea came from that blackberry lily is southern. I have seen it growing for years in Missouri zone 5.
I always wonder about the hardiness/heat tolerance of the hybrids, since vesper iris is northern and blackberry-lily southern. Obviously you're growing one successfully, but it looks very close to domestica, while 'Spooky World' is very close to dichotoma. I suppose there's only one way to find out. Sean Z
